EVENTS
Every January, the Anchorage Folk Festival hosts more than 120 acts from throughout Alaska and around the world. For two weeks, singers, dancers, storytellers, and a variety of groups perform traditional and original material ranging from folk to Celtic, bluegrass, jazz, klezmer and more. Outside guest artists and Alaskan performers alike perform on our main stage and at a variety of venues throughout Anchorage and Eagle River. There are workshops for musicians and dancers of all ages and abilities, and our headliners also participate in AFF fundraising dances.
All January concerts and workshops are open to the public and are FREE.
The Anchorage Folk Festival also raises money through memberships and fund raising events, such as performance, dances, and workshops held throughout the year.
