AFF MUSIC CAMP - CAMP CARLQUIST

AFF Music Camp will be held at Camp Carlquist, 23 miles north of Anchorage, Mirror Lake exit. The campground offers a quiet remote wilderness setting, alongside Edmonds Lake, with scenic views of the Chugach Mountains.

The camp is designed as a residential camp. Housing is in shared cabins, which have heat and electricity. While the housing and meals are optional, we highly recommend staying at the camp for the whole camp experience. The camp offers a great environment to get away from the worries of the world and focus on playing music. Beyond the daily classes, much can be learned from the evening activities, dances, concerts and jam sessions. The communal spirit of the camp provides great accessibility to the staff.

Canoes are available, as well as miles of hiking and biking trails. Recreational facilities are on site. The outdoor natural amphitheater features a large firepit, great for singing around the campfire and roasting marshmallows. There are numerous informal porch sessions, open to everyone to join in or just sit back and listen.

And there are plenty of secluded places to get away for some quiet practice time or quiet rest.
