AFF Music Camp Classes 2007> GUITAR

Irish Backup Guitar (Nancy Conescu) This class will be taught using DADGAD tuning. If you don’t know what that is, you’ll learn! The main focus will be on Irish dance rhythms and right hand technique. We will also cover chords, chord shapes, and harmonic movement. I’ll have chord charts and other handouts.

Jazz Guitar (Mike Doolin) Learn chords and scales on the fretboard for improvising over jazz songs.

Guitar I (Eamon O'Leary) - This class will focus on basic chord shapes and rhythms for the beginner.

Guitar II (Mike Doolin) This intermediate+ class will focus on chord shapes across the entire neck and different rhythms.

Flatpick Guitar (Jay Marvin) Students will learn basic flat-picking technique for fiddle tunes and vocal breaks. Emphasis will be on solid rhythm and tasteful lead playing in a traditional Bluegrass style.

Rhythm Guitar for Oldtime & Bluegrass (Jay Marvin) Learn the fundamentals of backup guitar for Oldtime and Bluegrass music. Beginners are welcome but you should already be familiar with the basic chords.
