Encourage people to become members of the Anchorage Folk Festival. There are a number of expenses involved in putting on the Festival and we really (REALLY) need your help putting it on. How much is the Festival worth? $25 for a weekend? How about $25 for the whole festival. That is all that a membership costs. Is it worth $25 to you to have the opportunity of supporting the festival? You can join or renew at the Festival, or get a form here.

Volunteer. We really appreciate your help in producing the Anchorage Folk Festival. How about dedicate an hour or so helping us sell tee shirts, memberships, directing people to workshops, handing out programs. Volunteer to help out with the dances that will be taking place. The Anchorage Folk Festival is for you, so help us put on your festival with a commitment of an hour or so. Email us to volunteer

Finally, during the festival, make the opportunity to thank the people that you notice who are working during the festival. This includes the board, our sound technician Lucy, stage crew, workshop presenters and most importantly, our musicians. Together we are going to make this the best Anchorage Folk Festival possible!

Anchorage Folk Festival – Simply the best, because of you!

I have always enjoyed photography. Finding the "perfect shot" to take, shooting the picture, editing the photo, and then sharing the photo with others. I currently use a Nikon D40 and a Fuji F30, both very good digital cameras. Many of my photos are landscape photography in Alaska. I view photography as an opportunity to be artistic. I recently volunteered to take photographs at the Anchorage Folk Festival. Concert photography is challenging because of the low light and fast action.

Please contact me if you wish to purchase any of my photographs from this website (coming soon) or any of the photographs I took at the Anchorage Folk Festival. Photographs will only be sold with model releases. See my web page on BetterPhoto here.
